Phyilis Mae (Stuller) Roberts, Age 89 Born April 16, 1923 to Rose Mae Boggs and Firm B. Stuller in Cooperstown, ND. She passed away December 8, 2012.
She grew up in Brookings, SD. She was preceded in death by her sister, Olive Stuller Christensen and her brother, Donald Lee Stuller. She graduated from South Dakota State University.
She met Owen Richard Roberts while attending college and they married April 29, 1949, he also preceded her in death. They moved to Seattle and then soon to Bellevue, WA where they raised their children, Owen Richard Roberts, Jr. (Patti), Seattle and Melissa (Roberts) Ledbetter (Don), Newcastle.
Her grandchildren: Jacob Roberts (preceded her in death), Hannah Wygal (Bryan), Seattle, Zach Roberts (Emily), Seattle, Emma Ledbetter, Newcastle and three great grandchildren.
She retired from the Dept. of Licensing where she had been a drivers license examiner. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Notable was her gentle sense of humor, whether it was in response to the smallest absurdities of life or the more grand attacks on her sensibilities. All challenges were embraced by her humor.
She had been living with Alzheimer's for the past 4 years. Heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Sunset Gardens Adult Family Home for taking such wonderful and loving care of our mother.
Phyilis had many jobs throughout her life and made many longtime friendships. To Phyilis her dear friends were her extended family. Friends & family alike shall miss her.
