Randi C. BRAUNE 12/15/43 ~ 3/2/11 Randi had an innate sense of beauty , from music to art to interior design and gardening. She sang professionally with one of the original Seattle rock and roll bands of the early 60's as pictured in the EMP at the Seattle Center. Later, she toured with Rocky Rockwell's band and sang at Rosellini's and other fine Seattle clubs. After studying at Cornish Institute, she received her degree in Art History from the University of Washington. More recently, she expressed her love of beauty in the transformation of their property in Shelton, from forest into a serene Japanese garden, complete with koi ponds, exotic plants and a stunning view of Mount Rainier. Her home was a showplace of Asian inspired interior design. She is dearly missed by her husband, Capt. Martin Braune of Shelton, her mother, Jean Greene of Seattle, her daughter, Tracy Rantala,MD and son-in-law Tom Rantala, of Wilton, New Hampshire and her three grandsons: Matthew, Markus, and Mikael Rantala, the lights of her life.
