Wally, like many of the Hashes that passed before him were unforgettable characters. He had that great Hash grin, the great Hash stories, the wonderful Hash laugh and most of all the great and supportive Hash family surrounding him throughout his life. I treasure all the memories I have of Wally at the Hash picnic and of all the stories he told and that Dad and some of the other cousins told of him. He will be greatly missed and I hope that time and knowing how many people's lives he touched will help Helen and the rest of his beautiful family. Much love and sympathy to all of the Hash family.

I love my grandpa and will miss him dearly! I will miss the way he would wiggle his smile and wink at the same time, his sense of humor, and all weekends my brother and I would spend with him when we were growing up! His bark was always bigger than his bite, and he was especially gentle and kind to all of his grandkids. I will always remember him shaking his finger at us to not do something or threatening to get out the yard stick (that was always stuck down in the cupboard drawer handles so we could not get into them) - and then smiling that crooked smile like he was teasing us. He also loved to walk you around his garden when you came to visit! He lived a very long and happy life, and created many memories for us to cherish, laugh about and share for years to come! He is at peace now and in heaven with all of the family that have gone before him – he is forever in my heart! xo

Our memories of Wally will be revived each time we see couples dancing and each time we think of his love of Helen, his family and his garden. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Mary and Bill Brockway

Dearest Family- Comforting Thoughts & Prayers with Our Love To You All-
Uncle Wally's family & friends were there for him, as he left us with many years of great memorable stories & fun times. Those rememberances will be with us always.
No matter how many times he told stories of yesteryears, I enjoyed the ones he told, about his younger dancing times with friends at ole Foss's Shadow Lake, how much he loved the "old bands" music, & how he looked forward to Lawrence Welk reruns.
But now, -what a "Hash Bash Family Reunion", must be going on, as he joins those wonderful ones, that left before him. As we celebrate his life, we know he is in the best of hands & company now.
