Robert (Bob) A. McNary|
02/25/1926 ~ 12/10/2013
Bob passed peacefully with his daughter, Sherry by his side. Bob and Sherry recently moved from the Seattle area to Las Vegas to be closer to family. Bob had a stroke last year, so the family was grateful to be close to him and they'll cherish those memories.
Bob enjoyed attending his great grandchildren's high school sporting events.
Sherry and Bob recently traveled to his home town, St. Paul, spent time with family and visited his old neighborhood.
Bob served in the Navy as a tail gunner in WWII, attended pharmacy school at the Univ of WA, worked in MT Vernon as a pharmacist in the neighborhood drug store, later owned his own store in MT Lake Dist in Seattle and retired from Safeway.
He married Myrtle Schmidt in 1946 and lost her in 2012 to cancer, they were married for over 65 years. He enjoyed flying, playing cards, swimming, eating and spending time with family. He leaves behind his daughter, Sherry; sons, Gordon and Jeffrey, daughter-in-law Floraine; granddaughter Dawn, great-grandchildren, Amanda and Albert; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In honor of his wishes the family didn't have a service, rather they
asked family and friends to plan a special dinner in his memory.
