Robert C. LANDIS Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother, Bob Landis was born in Seattle to Fay and Charles Landis on March 10, 1925. Bob passed away on April 20th in his home surrounded by all of his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Carol Fisher Kendall Landis, sons Joel Kendall (Diane), Regan Landis (Cheryl), Tate Landis (Julie Freier) daughters Celia Landis Durham (Brad) and Penny Kendall Galloway (Scott), and sister Joan Arico (Larry). Bob was a World War II Navy veteran, having served for 3 years on the battleship, USS California in the South Pacific. Bob was a carpenter with his own company doing mostly commercial and residential remodeling. In 1966 he married Carol, who left her work in the National Marine Fisheries Service in the seventies to work with Bob. Together they bought, remodeled, and sold houses in north Seattle, while raising five active children. The family enjoyed skiing, camping, and traveling. In addition, Bob and Carol were members of the Bucks and Does Square Dance Club for about 30 years. A committed member of the Olympic View Community Church of the Brethren for many years, he became involved under their auspices in Disaster Relief. He helped rebuild homes damaged by floods and hurricanes. He worked in Louisiana, Alabama, Kansas, Oregon, Washington, and California. He will be remembered by all his friends as a caring man with a never-ending sense of humor. He was a really great guy. A celebration of his life will be held at the Olympic View Community Church, 425 N.E. 95th St., Seattle, WA 98115 on Saturday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. A light lunch will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

May God bless you and your family in this time of bereavement. May He prop you up on every leaning side and dry your tears. May His arms of comfort and His Angels emcamp around you. Always remember, Mr. Landis is safe in His arms and your new Guardian Angel is always smiling down on you and your family.
