During my internship year at King County Hospital (Harborview) in 1957 (might have been early in my surgery residency (UW 1958-1963) Bob was often in the staff library where we all congregated with our families for dinner and evenings. Bob never pushed you at all into buying insurance but would talk about the value of insurance. When our first child Wally arrived in 1958 (now senior Urologist at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center) I decided I needed some insurance and bought a NWM policy from Bob. Over the years I bought other policies and used Bob many time for consultations about not only insurance but other financial issues as well. I would visit him in Seattle - the last time in Lake City. He would also stop by our home in Wenatchee on his way to Lake Chelan. I have never had another insurance agent until Bob retired and I transferred to our NWM agent in Wenatchee. He was a wonderful friend, I treasured his advice and his honesty. If the issue was not clear he would get a consult from NWM and someone would call me. I know the family will have many wonderful memories to share for many years. Our prayers are with you.
Gerald and Barbara Gibbons, Wenatchee.
And thank's to Mike O'Brien for getting to me how to get a message to the family.
