Robert White Obituary
Robert (Bob) White of Seattle, WA died at home on February 17, 2016 of pulmonary emboli at the age of 47. Bob grew up in Newton, MA where he enjoyed violin, voice, guitar, and theater arts. He specialized in theater at Hampshire College. Shakespeare was his muse.
Bob worked with theaters on both coasts including Seattle's Theatre Babylon, Seattle Fringe Festival and City3 Theatre (co-founder). Some of his theater work focused on public health issues. He was also passionate about new plays and the theater community. He also worked for over 20 years as a systems engineer at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
Bob brought fierceness, passion and creativity to everything he did. He was a ravenous learner in many fields and loved to unravel intricate dilemmas. He loved to cook. He worked diligently to open himself to learn more, master more, and feel more deeply. Bob is survived by his teenaged daughter Samantha, his mother, Suzanne White, his brother, Malcolm White, sister, Molly Miller-White. His father, Robert Bruce White, preceded him in death.
His life will be celebrated by family and friends at 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the West of Lenin Theatre, 203 N 38 Street, Seattle, WA.

I worked with Bob on many productions while I lived in Seattle from 1991-1998. We would spend hours discussing art and Shakespeare!! Such fond memories of hanging with him, working with him and musing over everything. When I moved to LA and then NYC, Bob was always a phone call or an email away to offer support and humor. I love Bob and will miss his laugh and his passion for theatre. RIP dear friend.

Sending love and prayers to Bob's family.
I went to school with Bob as a kid and always thought he was such a kind and caring person. Although I had not spoken to Bob in many many years we ironically got to catch up about a month before his passing. He was the same kind guy I'd always remembered. I'm grateful I got that chance to reconnect with him.
