Rodrick Paul Campbell Obituary
Rodrick Paul Campbell

Born 7/6/1945, passed on 9/2/2017. Rod graduated from Roosevelt High School and obtained his BA at the UW. He spent 2 years in the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. Rod was, above all things, a brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was intelligent and wise. He chose his family (friends) carefully. All that knew him were blessed by his counsel and deep concern for their life issues. He made each individual feel that they were most important to him. He would go as deep as you would like to go. Rod was a cowboy at heart and lived a life that proved it. He packed mules, and while riding on horseback, took them into the Pasayten Wilderness for the U.S. Forest Service. He worked with a private outdoor experience outfit that took "city folk" into the wilderness. He packed the mules, setup camp, built the fire, cooked food and kept his guests comfortable while making lifelong friendships. He always preferred mules and horses over most people. He was truly a mule whisperer. His early desire was to be a Veterinarian. Rod helped care for Llamas and Alpacas. He built fences, delivered offspring and would give his life for the preservation of animals. He was predeceased by his brother Keith and sister Catherine. He is survived by his sister Karen along with cousins, nieces and nephews. Rod will be sorely missed by family and friends, including animals who unknowingly (or knowingly) benefitted from his presence.

A memorial service will be held

on Sunday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m.

at the Lightouse Foursquare Church, 15725 Simonds Road NE, Kenmore, WA 98028.
