Roland Curtis Friberg

Roland Curtis FRIBERG "Rollie" was born July 12, 1922 in Dooley, MT to Nevada Atherton and Charles August Friberg being the youngest of 6 children. He passed over on April 29, 2011 at his home in Maple Valley, WA. and is survived by a daughter Lynette, son-in-law Michael and sister, Loretta. He grew up in Coeur d'Alene, ID, joined the Idaho National Guard in 1939, was called into the Army in 1940, stationed at Fort Lewis, WA until 41 and shipped overseas serving in 7 campaigns until 1945; Australia became his favorite place. He returned to Spokane, WA and moved to Seattle, WA in 1958 where he owned Evergreen Well Drilling Company. His interests included travel, geology, genealogy, building, canning, baking and playing cards with his many friends. His humor & joy of life will be missed by all. There will be no service but a private Life Celebration gathering. Donations in Rollie's memory may be made to Seattle Hospice, 5701 6th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108.
