Ron Richardson Obituary

Ron RICHARDSON Ron peacefully passed away on February 7, 2011. He was born on August 5, 1935 in Seattle. Ron was a life-long resident of Seattle. Ron graduated from the University of Washington and was a respected and inspirational teacher, mentor and coach. Ron's love of history and strong sense of community led to his active involvement in various organizations and causes: the Seattle Commons; Fremont History House; Fauntleroy Community Association; SWSHS Log House Museum; Washington Public Campaigns; West Seattle Walking Trails & Map Project; and a proud Garfield Golden Grads member. Ron is loved and cherished by his wife, Sherry; his children, Carrie Lynn Richardson (Paul Giancola), Dan Richardson (Vicki) and Mark Stein (Jenee Westberg); three grandchildren, Justin Banks, Ryan Richardson and Lyric Stein; sister, Lynda Beaton, two nieces; and extended family too numerous to list. A celebration of Ron's extraordinary life will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at The Hall at Fauntleroy, 9131 California Avenue SW, Seattle 98136. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the University of Washington, Brain Tumor Research Fund, Neurology Department, in memory of Ron Richardson; Central Asia Institute ('Three Cups of Tea'); or the SWSHS - Log House Museum.

Dear Carre Lynn,
