Ronald Lynn Meicho
Ronald Lynn Meicho, age 56, born Aug. 13, 1956 in Seattle Wa., passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 15, 2012 while doing something he loved, a camping/canoeing adventure in B.C. with his children.
He graduated from Shoreline High School in 1974 and received his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from the U.W. in 1987. He worked earlier for the City of Bothell, and most recently, for Gray and Osborne Inc. in Seattle. He resided in Edmonds, Wa.
He is survived by his wife of 27 yrs. Cary, their children Sara and Zachary, his parents James and EmmaLou and his brother Keith.
Ron was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed watching his children participate in sports activities such as ice hockey and soccer. He loved building and racing model sailboats called T-37's and was Vice Commodore of the Pacific Northwest Model Yacht Club. Other interests included hiking, camping and fishing.
Ron was a kind man, always volunteering and helping others. Always dependable, never rushed and a mentor to many.
A Memorial service will be held on Sat. September 22nd at 1:00pm at Edmonds United Methodist Church 828 Casper Street, Edmonds, Wa. 98020. Reception immediately following at the church.
A private internment will be held at a later date.
