Steve Iwago Obituary

Steve I. IWAGO Steve I. Iwago, 93, passed away on January 28, 2011 in Seattle, WA. He was born on February 3, 1917 in Seattle and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hirata of Seattle; his son, Denny Iwago (Peggy) of New Port Richey, Florida; his step-daughter, Beverly Cheney (Don) of Port Orchard; his sister, Aya Sakoda of Seattle; his sister, Yuri Okubo of Japan; and many nieces and nephews. A service will be held at the Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Church at 11:00am on Monday, February 7, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nikkei Concerns (1601 E. Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98122-5640), the NVC (Nisei Veterans Committee) Foundation (1212 S King St. Seattle, WA 98144), or the charity of your choice.
