Sue and I met at Costa’s Greek Restaurant in the Summer of 1978. Each of us, seated alone at opposing tables would glance at each other and smile until I finally asked if she wanted to share a table for lunch. We became fast friends and chatted about many things, chief among the topics that day were the Jim Jones’ cult suicides in Guyana that had just happened in South America. We became intimate friends and Sue shared her love of Dogs with me - she was raising Borzoi pups that summer. She was also very proud her old green British MG roadster. Bright, talented, and opinionated, Sue passed too soon. I was so sorry to hear of her death. May she forever rest in peace.

Hi
Sue and I finally had a chance to meet in August of 2010 at the wonderful world class horse jumping venue, Spruce Meadows, near Calgary Alberta.
Sue & I had corresponded via phone calls, letters and the internet, for over twenty years so the memory of August will stay forever.
She left me with one of her special hounds, Gryphon's Shangri La Magic (Mags) and we will try & do her proud in the ring and in the field.
I know she is reunited with all her hounds and will be having fun walking the fields.

Hi name is Gryphon's Contessa Pearly Rose and Sue was my first dog mom. I now live with my forever dog mom, Christie, in Seattle. I still got to see Sue every so often at a show. And, I have a funny memory of when I first came to live in Seattle that she always liked...maybe you all will like it too!

It's a a funny story about how I ended up in a tub for my first bath. I was totally being a good dog and keeping all the critters off the long floating wood thingy. I came into the house when my human called and I ended up all wet in the tub. The last thing I remember was her yelling something that sounded like EEEEEWWWW.....OH #@*##%...OTTER POOP!!!!!!!!!!!

So that's what that really good smelling stuff is called. I don't know why she didn't like the way it smelled on me. I suppose there's no accounting for taste. I'm going to get that tall hairless pink human back for making me wash it off. Hmmm...the last time I chewed her bra was fun. No, wait...her eyegalsses...she was totally apoplectic over that.

Lots of big wet snuffly dog kisses

I have some great memories of stopping by the Fegan house on the way home from high school. Bertha, Susan's mom was a delightful person and there was always something going on. Susan will be missed by her classmates as we meet in August for our 50th reunion. Thanks, Martha, for the beautiful letter and particularly for taking the time to let those of us who knew her well know about her passing. Each Christmas I looked forward to seeing what her latest canine adventure was and now know why I didn't hear from her this last Christmas. Love ya, Susan.

Susan(Martha's older sister) was a unique individual. She lived life to the fullest and shared her talents, with those who appreciated her many gifts. She has left behind a legacy in her artwork and her love for Ibiza hounds. A life well lived!

Years go by unnoticed, but yet memories are forever. You are indeed one of a kind, who touched many of us in very unique, memorable ways. We are sadden by your departure, but yet if your times among us are indications, we are comforted knowing you are embarking in new, and timeless adventures!
See ya at the end of the rainbow, "Pooka".
