Thomas Matthew PODL Thomas Matthew Podl our Sweet Prince Papa has finally gone to heaven. He was a wonderful, generous, charming and loving man. A one of a kind. He passed early in the am hours Wednesday, March 23rd. His wife Cathy Podl was near by his side till the end with daughter Brandy Hagan-Hohhman, and two faithful dogs. He has suffered for 7½ years with different aliments, but his heart failed him in the end. Tom was born May 6th, 1938 in Chicago, to Jane and Matthew Podl. He is survived by wife Catherine Podl, brother Bill Podl, sister Monica Janicki children Carrie Habernern, Tod Podl, Mark Rex, Lisa Hoak and Brandy Hagan-Hohmann. Tom was a business man in Bellevue for many years he dealt in heart pace maker business and later orthopedic implants. He had a wonderful career. He was involved in the Polish Community which reached out to many. He had a wonderful collection of Polish Art, which gave him great pleasure. He was very active in squash, racquetball and golf. He especially liked Tee time. Tom reached out near and far to many different people numerous friends who became family. He was extremely proud of his 8 special grand kids Matthew Podl, Josh Podl, Rachel Podl, Kyle Hoak, Colin Hoak, JT Habernern, Rory Hohmann and Roxy Hohmann. He was loved and will never be forgotten. Memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Society for research. Funeral services are being held at the Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor Tuesday March 29th at 2:00, space is limited - please RSVP to [email protected]. I will miss my yearly hug when Tom would come up to Everett for his taxes. I've known him for 22 years and will really miss him. My heart goes out to Cathy and your extended family.

Cathy,You & "Pody" are both amazing people. You have been such an inspiration to me. By seeing the love you have for one another, family & life itself, no matter the challenge. I'm thankful to have gotten to know Tom. Thank you for entrusting me with his care.
