Timothy Phillip Rauen|
Age 60. Lifetime Seattle resident
Timothy P. Rauen, died peacefully on April 5, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Tim was the third of nine children born to Jim & Bea Rauen on October 13, 1952. Tim grew up on Capitol Hill, attending St. Joseph's and Seattle Prep.
Paralyzed from the chest down as a result of a childhood accident, Tim inspired us daily with his courage and love of life. His determination and independence were survival skills for him. Tim was a youth soccer coach, a self-taught programmer with a successful 35-year career at Boeing, and most importantly a devoted husband and father who fully participated in his daughters' lives. Tim was loving, caring and generous. He met challenges with indomitable spirit, grace, good humor and an attitude that was unique.
Tim is survived by his wife of 29 years Tiffany, daughters Gracie and Sophia, parents Jim & Bea, siblings Michael (Sandy), Josie (Craig) Arntz, Mary Kay (Tom) Koon, Jerome (Debbie), Thomas (Deena), David (Kelay), Trissa (Nick) Hodapp, sister in law Chris Rauen and 23 nieces & nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his brother John Rauen, and his nieces Angela Rauen and Betsy Arntz.
A Celebration of Tim's Life will be held on April 26th at 6 PM at the Mount Baker Community Club located at 2811 Mount Rainier Drive South, Seattle 98144.
