Vanick Galstaun Obituary

Vanick S. GALSTAUN Born in Yokohama, Japan, on Sept. 23, 1919, Vanick passed away in the home of his eldest son on May 28, 2011. He earned his Master's Degree from the University of Washington, and taught at the UofW School of Drama for over 40 years. Vanick was a USMC Veteran of Guadalcanal during WWII. He is survived by his three children, Mark, Alexander, Diana; three grand-children, Alex, Mikaela, Dana; and a "Cast of Thousands" of friends. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, on Sunday, June 5, at 4 PM. A celebration of his life will be held at the Penthouse Theater on the UW Campus, June 18, at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PAWS.
