Vicki Lynn Wissinger Gorman

Obituary Condolences

Vicki Lynn Wissinger GORMAN Vicki Lynn Wissinger Gorman, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend passed away suddenly on February 12, 2012 after courageously and quietly battling serious health issues for a few years. She was born on September 27, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio, raised in Denver, Colorado and eventually settled in Seattle with her husband, Mike, in 1983 after receiving her Master's in Nursing degree while in Texas, where she and Mike met 32 years ago. In Seattle, she was very involved with her local community, largely through activities with her absolutely beloved children, Katie and Kyle. She has been team parent, room mother, and Girl Scout leader among many other cherished positions. She was a quiet and regular contributor in time and supporter to a number of charities, something she felt strongly about. Vicki was strong-willed, funny and a very supportive and loving person. Her priorities were with her family, friends, and community; less so with knowing where her car keys or purse were at any particular time. She was immensely loved by her husband, her children, our families, and her friends. We will miss her terribly but she will be with us always. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her brothers Mark and Matt Wissinger (Montana and Denver), Mike's siblings Kim Gorman and Kirk Gorman (Ohio and Philadelphia), in-laws, and many cousins and extended family members around the country. Services will be held at the Community of Christ Church, 5555 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle, 98103 on Saturday February 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society under Vicki's name.
