Violet Ruth ROOT Age 91, passed away April 22, 2011 in Shoreline, WA. She is the beloved sister of Shirley Ross, Gladys Swartz and Marcella Janssen; Preceded in death by her parents Orin Root Sr and Nellie C. Root; Brothers Orin Root Jr, Dwight Root and Loran Root. A graduate of Seattle Pacific University, she taught 2nd grade in Japan and Korea. Viewing Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 2:00PM followed by graveside services at 3:00PM at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home and Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
