Steven Mayes Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 6 to Feb. 7, 2010.
Steven C. MAYES KA7PMC Steve passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, after suffering a catastrophic cerebral hemorrhage. He led a life devoted to service, giving freely of his time and talents. Although he leaves a heartbroken community of family, friends, colleagues, and extended family at Action Communications, all are encouraged to take comfort in knowing that Steve left us at a time when he was healthy, embracing life, and enjoying the company of the many people in his life. Plans are being made for a gathering, for friends to see one another again, to share their joy and sorrow. Details forthcoming. "Like the morning sun you come, and like the wind you go".

Steve was a true gentleman. I too met Steve through HAM radio, and while he was extremely competent in technical matters, he was also an all around great person to know.

I too will miss seeing Steve at our events trhoughout the year.

73 OM, and thank you for your friendship.

Steve was a great guy. He had tons of friends, particularly in ham radio. He was always a fixture at the Puyallup Mic and Key ham fleamarket. Steve was always very helpful and lots of fun. Very knowledgeable on all aspects of communications. I'll put up a picture and announcement at the table he always had there.

Nancy, Peggy and Carolyn,
Words are so meaningless at a time like this. To say we are sorry would be an understatement.
We knew Steven as the boy next door who grew into adulthood and who was always kind, courteous, capable and helpful. He was a friend who we respected and who will be missed. We are grateful for Steven having touched our lives and we shall always carry fond memories of him.
Our sincerest condolences,
Connie and John
