Irene Agnes WISHART Irene Agnes Wishart, of Sammamish, WA passed away December 7, 2010 at Overlake Hospital. Irene was born June 17, 1926 in Raloo, Larne, Northern Ireland to William and Elizabeth Hall. She was raised in Hall's Crossroads, and attended Fane Street School in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She married Jack Wishart in 1957 in Belfast, where they began a family and made their home. The family immigrated to the United States in 1965. They briefly lived in West Seattle, and made Sammamish their per- manent home for the last 40 years. Irene worked a variety of interesting jobs including at the former Providence Point Conference Center and the Hi-Low Super Market in Issaquah. After retirement, she remained active in the community attending Issaquah Senior Center and the Irish Heritage Club. She enjoyed knitting, dancing, and cooking. Her family remembers her art of conversation and her positive personality. Her husband stated that she never complained about life's challenges, and - while, at times, he might not have been - she was always easy to live with. She is survived by her husband Jack Wishart of Sammamish, WA, daughter Karen (and husband BJ) Martin of Washington D.C., and son Neil Wishart of Fall City, WA; four sisters: Charlotte (husband Alan) Ford of Poulsbo, WA, Vina (husband Horace) Hood of Richmond, B.C., Canada, Florence Campbell of Belfast, Northern Ireland, Jean Fowler of Nottingham, England. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Betty Wishart of Bellevue, WA, Bill and Kathleen Cunningham of Agoura Hills, CA, Harry and Betty Wishart of Bradford-on-Avon, England and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to join the family at their home in Sammamish on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Please donate in Irene's memory to a charity or your choice.
