We first met Earnie after he was retired from UPS at a retiree group gathering at The Casey Family Building in Seattle. We could tell right off that he was a great person.

Ernie was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. He treated all whom he worked with at UPS with respect and dignity. He was from the old school; always looking to build people up.
I always enjoyed his stopping by for an occasional visit after he retired.
My sincerest condolences to his family.

My sympathies to the Manzell Family . Ernie was one of my first Managers. He trained me on the Whidbey Island route in about 1967 or '68. I learned enough from him in one day to be on my own. A good man,and a great asset to U P S .

I remember Ernie very well. We worked together from time to time and I will always remember his patience and his skill as a manager. He was one of many mentors who helped me during my own career with UPS.
