Tracey Lee Coomber Obituary
Tracey Lee Coomber

March 20th, 1965 ~ October 23, 2012

Tracey passed away much too soon after a long and courageous fight with a rare cancer. Tracey was held and comforted by her loving husband, Steve Thayer, and her mother and father, Janet and Gary Coomber.

Tracey was born in Manchester, CT. The family moved to Bellevue, WA in 1968, where Tracey attended Forest Ridge, Sacred Heart Academy, and Eastside Catholic High School. She worked as a makeup artist for Chanel and Dior at Nordstrom from 1983 until 2003. Tracey was introduced to her future husband Steve by her mother Janet.

Tracey had a great love for all her animals; Italian Greyhounds Zuni, Yazi, and Selah, cats Charlotte and Petra, and her beautiful Gypsy Horse, Adia. She and Adia trained in classical dressage in Redmond, WA and she honed her fitness at Gold's Gym in Bothell, WA. Tracey made many dear and long-time friends in her fashion, fitness, and equestrian pursuits.

Tracey is survived by her loving husband Steve, her mother and father, grandmother Lois Lundy, Mother-in-law Phyllis Thayer of Yakima, her sisters Gail Taylor of Toronto, Ontario and Brenda Coomber of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, her Aunts Anita Mills of Cambridge, Ontario, Claire Coomber of Medfield, MA, Judith Coomber of Binbrook, ON, Diane Davis of Issaquah, WA, and Margaret Thayer of Post Falls, ID, her sister-in-laws Jennifer Oldenburg of Lake Stevens, WA, and Enrica Coomber of Stoney Creek, Ontario. Uncles Ronald Coomber of Medfield, MA, Kenneth Coomber of Binbrook, ON, Douglas Davis of Bellevue, WA, William Davis of Issaquah, WA, William Mills of Cambridge, Ontario, Brother-in-laws Craig Taylor of Toronto, Jamie Ford of Guelph, ON, and Doug Oldenburg of Lake Stevens, nephews Erik, Matthew, Liam, Mitchell, nieces Kelsey and Erin, and cousins Kathy, Allison, Shelley, Caroline, Mark, and David

Flowers will be gratefully accepted at her memorial service on Saturday, November 10th at 3:00 PM at:

St. Thomas Episcopal Church

8398 NE 12th Street

Medina, WA 98039

A reception celebrating her life is to be held immediately afterward in the great hall at St Thomas. Tracey believed one of her most important responsibilities was the care and protection of animals. If it is desired to make a charitable donation in Tracey's honor, it is suggested that they be addressed to Pasado's Safe Haven, PO Box 171, Sultan, WA 98294.
