Sheila Maxine (Emery) Brakke

Sept. 24, 1938 ~ Jan. 15, 2014

Age 75, a loving & devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother of Everett, Washington passed away quietly on January 15th, 2014 surrounded by her family. Sheila was born in Bismarck ND, raised in Moorhead MN. Sheila & her husband Norm moved to the Seattle area to raise their family and later indulge her grandchildren (sometimes against their parents wishes). She worked many years as Managing Director of Conferences for Women's Aglow International Fellowship until her retirement. She was very involved in her church & volunteered her time in church ministries. Sheila was happiest in the midst of family & friends. There are few things she enjoyed more than meeting for coffee with those she loved. A self styled "Glam-ma" with a sassy wit, which she used to spear her intended target. All with a wry smile and twinkle in her eye.

Sheila is survived by: her husband of 56 years, Norm. Her children Tim Brakke, David (Sherry) Brakke, & Erin (Chuck) Hallas, grandchildren: Charles (Lauren) Hallas, Christine (Michael) Forrey, Michelle Hallas, David Brakke, Olivia Brakke, Daniel Brakke, Andrew Brakke, Christian Hallas, Catherine Brakke, Gabrielle Hallas & Jonathan Brakke; great grandchildren: Silas Forrey & (eagerly awaited) Faith Hallas, her mother Stella Emery and fiercely devoted sisters: Cheryl (Mill) Magelssen, Janet Fiest & Pam (Bill) Gallagher and many, many beloved nieces & nephews. Her father Kenneth Emery preceded her in death.

Services will be held at Maltby Christian Assembly, 9322 Paradise Lake Road, Snohomish, WA 98296 on Saturday January 25th at 7:00 pm, reception following.
