Patrick M. Kelly, 87, passed away peacefully to his eternal home on February 25, 2014. Pat was born on July 11, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Galway, Ireland until 1932 when his family relocated to New York.
Anxious to serve his country, Pat lied about his age in 1942 in order to serve in the US Navy as a Seaman First Class until 1947 aboard the U.S.S. Cony, U.S.S. Incredible and the U.S.S. Fall River. Pat's wardrobe often included his U.S.S. Cony hat he wore with pride.
Pat became a civil engineer and worked many years in the trade. He went back to school for marketing and sales and graduated first in his class. He held various Marketing Director positions until his retirement.
Pat was preceded in death by Marilyn Bodine, his beloved companion of 20 years and leaves behind Marilyn's family including Steve (Terri) Bodine, Bruce (Debbie) Bodine and Charlotte Bodine.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Washelli, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle at 3:00 p.m. on March 15, 2014.
