Julie (Randmel) Pounds Obituary
Julie (Randmel) Pounds

It is with very sad hearts that the family of Julie Pounds announces her passing on July 22, 2014. She was born in Seattle on June 25, 1929, to Oddleif and Anna Randmel and took great pride in her Norwegian heritage. She married Duane in 1948 and raised five children in the Shoreline area. Julie was a very active and involved mother who was always there cheering her children on during their various activities. Her motto was always "keep them busy" and she sure did! Our Mom was always up for any family adventure; however, after one epic tent camping trip on Orcas Island with five children during a monsoon like downpour, she was convinced that was one adventure she could do without and trailer camping it was! After raising her children, Julie became a Realtor and enjoyed her many years in the profession. She was active in many organizations over the years including: Hatasu Temple No.1, Daughters of the Nile; Nydia Chapter No. 11, Daughters of the Nile; Ahmes Court No. 41, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America; Alderwood Chapter No. 185, Order of Eastern Star, Past President VFW Ladies Auxiliary No. 8870; Military Order of the Cooties, Pup Tent No. 18; American Legion Auxiliary South Whidbey No. 141; Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary; Washington Association of Realtors and many more. Her quick wit and strong spirit shone through to the end and her family is grateful for her peaceful passing.

She is survived by her husband Duane, daughter Linda Swett (Mick), daughter Sharon Rairden (Tom), daughter Randi Wooden, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a large extended family. Julie was preceded in death by her sons, Danny and Darren, parents, and two siblings.

Please contact family privately for funeral information and feel free to sign her online guestbook and share memories with the family at www.washelli.com.
