Bruce Edward Nathane|
Bruce Nathane, 65, passed from this life on July 20th, 2014 at his home in Anacortes. He was born in Seattle on June 23, 1949 to Robert A. and Dorothy Christiancy-Nathane. He graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in history at the University of Washington.
Bruce served in the U S Army, in the artillery during the Vietnam war from 1967 through 1969. He was later employed by Merrill Lynch for a number of years.
Bruce loved golfing and fishing, and especially the time spent at his home on Decatur Island, but most of all he loved his friends in Anacortes.
Bruce is survived by his brother Robert Nathane and his sister Elizabeth "Betsy" Nathane.
A memorial service for Bruce will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Washington Park in Anacortes, weather permitting. If raining, the service will be held at the Anacortes Elks at 6th and Commercial in Anacortes. The family suggests that donations may be made to PAWS or Disabled American Veterans in Bruce's name.
Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands.
