George O. Rabideau Obituary
George O. Rabideau

George O. Rabideau, 92, of Ocean Shores, Wash., went home peacefully to be with his savior and with his loving wife Pat, on April 27, 2014.

He was born on April 3, 1922 in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho. He had three

sisters, Pat, Marion and Gaye.

At the age of 16, he joined the U.S. Cavalry for a year. He then returned to school and graduated from Roosevelt High in Seattle, Wash. where he married Patricia Duggar, his high school sweet heart, before leaving for the U.S. Army to fight in WWII and later in the Korean War.

During his military career, he earned a Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and a Silver Star. After the war, George became a carpenter. He and his friend, Oscar Sodorff formed a successful business, S and R Remodeling.

George and Pat enjoyed their retirement with trips to Europe and traveling by motor home throughout the U.S. Then George built their dream home in Ocean Shores, Wash., where they lived out the rest of their lives.

George enjoyed watching football,

playing golf, fishing and swimming with his grandchildren. He helped support the Carmelite nuns, and was a member of St. Catherine's, St. John's, and St. Jerome's parishes. His faith was very important to him. He was an inspiration to his family and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by an extensive network of children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of George's life Saturday, August 9th, noon-2pm at Evergreen Washelli, Celebration Room, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle WA. Please sign George's online Guest Book at www.Legacy.com.
