Jean Clair Croteau|
Jean Clair Croteau, age 80, joined her heavenly family on August 11, 2014. She passed away peacefully at Valley General Hospital in Renton WA with her husband by her side.
Jean was born on July 30, 1934 in Portland Oregon, to Rosco and Francis Biggs. She grew up in Goldendale WA, and worked in her father's record shop. Jean graduated from Goldendale High School in 1952 and attended Holy Names College. She then met the love of her life and married John A. Croteau on June 12, 1954 in Spokane WA.
After several years of nomadic army life, Jack and Jean made Renton their home in 1967. They raised four children. She was a gifted cook, artist, seamstress, wife and mother. Her love, religious faith, wisdom, kindness, and soft spoken way gave guidance, direction and inspiration to our entire family.
She loved family gatherings, her time in Kona Hawaii, great restaurants, working on her dollhouse, flowers and her computer. Jean is survived by her loving husband, two sons, Raymond and Michael, Daughter Nanette, her Grandchildren Claire and Curtis, her Sister Louise, many friends both old and new.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Renee, her parents and her brother Jack.
A special thanks to the kind and caring staff at Valley Medical Center and the Renton Fire department. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Renton Fire Department.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11AM on Wednesday, August 20, at St. Stephen the Martyr Parish in Renton with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jean's life.
