Dottie & I were sorority sisters at the Univ. of Wa.; & I remember her very fondly. She was a beautiful person in every way. I'm so sorry that I lost track of her. My family & I lived, for awhile, on Bainbridge Is., also - but, many years earlier than she. I would have loved to have known her as "an adult" (wife & mother). Lynne (Hugo) Sisson

My heart has so many memories of this great talent from movies and TV, as well as seeing her in person at the 1962 worlds fair [she smiled and talked to a very shy 14 year old] she has been in my heart sense!...she was a blessing to this world and we need more like her not less!

I'll always remember my early days in Los Angeles, Dorothy had a home on Queens Road, just down the hill from a friend. I'd run into her at the Ranch Market on Melrose Avenue and she was always very friendly and happy to acknowledge fans as we stood in line at the checkout stand. I still have and enjoy her "Roaring Twenties" LPs and her rendition of "Singing In The Bathtub" always puts me in a great mood. My prayers are with her and her family.

I remember Dottie from high school at Lincoln. She was always involved in music and drama. She was a class ahead of me and I graduated with her sister Patti. I am sorry that we have lost such a talented and memorable classmate. She certainly leaves an imprint on all of us who had the pleasure of knowing her. My condolences to the family.
