Elaine Pedigo BOSWORTH Elaine Pedigo Bosworth, 73, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Montlake on June 1, 2010 in the company of her devoted husband Thomas L. Bosworth. Elaine was born in Yonkers, NY on April 24, 1937 to William and Ann Rost. After finishing high school early Elaine attended and was graduated from Southern Seminary Junior College. She then returned to New York City where she worked with Roslyn Rosier and Florence Knoll learning the basics of good taste and marketing. Her career in Seattle began as Executive Director of the Seattle chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Later, after selling real estate she joined Betty Patterson and Karen Williams as partner in Collectors III, an import business energized by extensive travel, particularly to London and Rome. With her husband, architect and professor Tom Bosworth, she designed and furnished their homes in Laurelhurst and Montlake and vacation retreats on San Juan Island and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She was loved and admired by many people whom she quietly but deeply influenced with her charm, humor, natural beauty, elegant taste and the quality of her friendship. She is deeply missed by her husband Tom and their sons, Tom Bosworth, Robert Pedigo, Dave Bosworth and Kevin Pedigo, and grandchildren Ella and Violet Pedigo. A private wake for family and close friends was held in her Montlake home in her memory on June 5.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
