Walter G. OVENS Walter G. Ovens, born 01/12/30 passed away peacefully on 9/19/10 at the age of 80. Walt was born and raised in Seattle to Henry & Viola Ovens and was a true 'Seattleite'. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, Walt and his first wife Beverly, raised two children and he spent years in the produce/grocery business before entering the sign industry in 1969. Walt married his 2nd wife, Elizabeth 'Liz' in 1972 and both brought two families together to become a true 'Brady Bunch'. Walt was a proud Eagle Scout and member of the Kiwanis. Walt and Liz enjoyed spending time with family, friends, along with camping and motor homing w/the GMC Cascaders group. Walt was preceded in death by his beloved Liz, daughter Christine and son Douglas. He is survived by his 'girls', Gai (Dave), Robin (Bill) and Trish (Greg) and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Gerald & Roslyn Jackson and the wonderful staff @ Terrace Manor AFH for making Dad's time there so loving and heart warming. The family will be holding a private gravesite service and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are welcome at Children's Hospital.
