Julius J. JORGENSEN, Jr. Julius J. Jorgensen Jr. was born in Omaha, Nebraska on February 16, 1926 and died on December 2, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona. He was a Colonel in the US Army and retired after 28 years; he served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Julius returned to Renton Washington in 1975 where he had a successful second career in real estate management with The Jorgensen Company. Julius loved his family, his many friends and spent his last years between homes in the Northwest and in Mesa, Arizona. He is survived by his beloved bride, Marjorie, of 63 years, four children, Julius, Paul, Janet and Karli, and eight grandchildren; Mark, Tim, Lisa, Kate, Lara, Daniel, Karin, and Juliana. A private burial service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on Friday, December 10th. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 13th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1700 Edmonds Ave. NE, in Renton, Wa. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be contributed in Julius' name to: The Compass Housing Alliance, Renton Veteran's Center or the Boy Scouts of America.
