Obituary Condolences

Sharon KAYE December 1, 1946 ~ March 4, 2011 Sharon screamed and kicked her way into our lives on December 1st 1946 and departed peacefully in the loving arms of her cousin Judy Beck, who was accompanied by her nephew Jeffrey Kaye on March 4th. She lived her life at full tilt from Bremerton to Bellingham to Bellevue. She blasted out of Sammamish High in 1965 and blew into Western Washington that fall. School was only a minor interruption to her passions for tennis and skiing; with field hockey and everything else a mere short stop on the way to her degree. Teaching was too tame, so the allure of the wide open skies drew her to Northwest Airlines as a flight attendant. Woe onto passenger and crew alike for they were merely a playfield for pranks, jokes, gags and merriment. Competitive tennis was her obsession at the Bellevue Athletic Club and Central Park Tennis Club. Standing a mere 5 feet, she was a giant on the court and in life. Her brother Larry passed away before her, leaving her nephew Jeffrey Kaye (Annagrace and daughters) as his loving legacy to her. Father and Mother, Bert and Gona, followed and they are all looking down on us and sharing the spirit she left behind: Love, Light, Laughter. A full tilt celebration of life will be held this upcoming weekend in Bellevue. The family gratefully requests donations to Sharon's favorite charities in lieu of flowers and cards: Beacon Foundation for Northwest Flight Attendants, http:// www.beaconfoundation.org/donate PAWS (local animal welfare organization) https://www.gifttool.com/donations/Donate? ID=1938&AID=763 Children's International (Sharon sponsors a little girl named Make Lucernas who lives in the Philippines) https://www.children.org/makeadonation.asp
