LeRoy GORDON (Joseph) LeRoy Gordon, beloved husband, father, uncle and brother died peacefully on March 13th, 2012 at 10:40pm. LeRoy was battling a few ailments relatedto aging but with increasing severity. LeRoy was a well known African-american business owner- notably Gordon & Jones Auto Repair and LeRoy Gordon's Auto Repair, who made no distinctions among his clients which included Sears & Roebuck, King County Metro Transit, Bill Russell, Larry Gossett and other notable Seattle residents. Along with the late Sterling Dover and Dr. Homer Harris, he spent several years as a scoutmaster for Charles Green, Terry Metcalf and others. LeRoy was born and raised in rural Louisiana, lived in Lafayette, Houston (Texas Southern University), Staten Island (military service), Seattle, and finally Mercer Island where he was a 47-year resident. LeRoy was very attached to family and friends including Helen, his wife of 50 years, daughter Bridget, sons Michael Meadows, Lee, and Jason, granddaughters Isabella, Zoey, Catharina, and Nina, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and many members of the Lombard family. He is missed dearly by many.
