Obituary Condolences

Donald K. LELAND Donald K. Leland, beloved Father and Grandfather, passed away May 5, 2012, at the age of 81 years. Don was born in Portland Oregon on December 5, 1930, but lived his life in Seattle WA. He served in the Navy, then came home and started Leland Tile Company in 1955. In the 1970's, he was a partner in E.C. Wilson Produce. He delivered to area restaurants and became known as the "Egg Man." Don continued his craft of laying tile and remodeling homes until his passing. He leaves behind two daughters, Debra J. Passi of Everett WA and Pamela N. Kennedy of Warsaw IN as well as five grandchildren: Tiffany (Passi) Dustan and husband Andrew of Albany CA; Jeremy Passi and wife Heather of U.S. Military; Donald A. Kennedy, Chicago IL; James R. Kennedy, Minneapolis, MN; and Julie (Kennedy) Anderson of Mentone, IN and four great-grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his father Charles Clifford Leland and mother Beatrice (Mitchell) Leland Summers. Don served as the youngest Worshipful Master of Seattle Lodge No 164 in 1963. He received his 55 year pin and was honored at Eureka Masonic Lodge #20. He was also a member of Scottish Rite 32 and Nile Shriners, Mountlake Terrace. He was proud to have served as Captain of the Shrine Mini Bike Parade Team. Services will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Evergreen Washelli Chapel, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, with committal following at Evergreen Memorial Park.
