Dr. Week served in the Kennedy Administration. We forged our friendship over our mutual regard for President Kennedy. Dr. Wrenk was a beacon of light to those who loved him. When in his presence, one felt cherished and protected. He was a remarkable man of achievement, but his greatest character trait was a regard and respect for his fellow man. I miss him and will carry his memory in my heart forever. God Bless Edward Wenk.

Dr Wenk is my first cousin twice removed. Sadly I never knew about him until after his passing. My Dad, Ed's first cousin once removed, was a submariner throughout WWII and would have loved to have known Ed. I am very proud to be even remotely related to Professor Wenk. Rest in peace.

He was an advisor and favorite thinking professor at UW, Seattle.
While a student at the University of Washington, I enrolled in his Social Management of Technology Department. Together we enlisted the help of Jacques Cousteau and invited 3 fellow Alaskan Whalers to meet regarding international support for Eskimo Whaling Commission. Dale Stotts, Barrow,
Roger Soolook and Abraham Kaningok both of St.Lawrence Island all met with Dr. Wenk and
Cousteau to garner the continued
approval of Inupiat whale hunting in spring/autumn Arctic whaling seasons. Dr. Edward Wenk continued to support my efforts to earn Bachelor of Arts from the UW as well as going to MIT/Harvard in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

I wonder what Prof. Wenk would have to say about Global warming today. Somehow, I feel he might approve of Bill Gate's book on the subject.

One of my favorite profs at UW. His "Social Management of Technology" , which I took in the early '80s was thought provoking and enlightening. If there are any copies of his book "Margins for Survival" left around, it is worth a read.
in peace, Wilda Luttermoser
