Kenneth Loop Obituary
Ken passed away on August 15 in Missoula, Montana. He was born on October 31, 1947 in Renton to Brooks and Mary Loop. He grew up in Kent, attended Green River College and was employed for thirty years at Mud Mountain and Howard Hansen Dams. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved the mountains, fishing and hunting and was known for his sense of humor. He was instrumental in establishing the Greenwater Fire Department where he served for twenty years, eleven as fire chief. He was also involved with organization of the Lonesome Lake Preservation Group Upon retiring he moved to Plains, Montana where he fulfilled his dream of building a log home. He is survived by his wife, Pamela,his sons Ky(Stacy) and Seth (Kelli) of Enumclaw, step daughters Julie Pierce of Winter Park, Co and Colleen Hummel (Stephen) of Missoula, parents Brooks and Mary Loop and brother Kim of Snoqualmie and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Keith.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 25 at the Greenwater Community Hall at 3:00PM. Gifts in his name may be made to the Greenwater Fire Department, the Lonesome Lake Preservation Group or a charity of choice.

I knew Ken from summers in Coeur d'Alene in our teens and then reunited for a short period 26 years later. He was a kind and gentle man who loved life and deserved the best during his journey here on earth. Peace be with him now. My condolences to Brooks and Mary, Seth and Ky, and Pam. Deapest sympathy to your family at this time of loss. I knew Ken from school class of 67. I will also be forwarding the obituary to my parents which my mother Barbara Cain (Milden) went to school with Kens parents. Ken will be missed by all.
