James Louis Tucker M.D. Obituary
James Louis Tucker, M.D.

James Tucker, Pediatrician, passed quickly, Friday night, 8/17, having held and carefully examined his 10th newborn Great Grandchild, Henry. An interested physician to the end, Jim Tucker made the most of 93 years. He outlived his wife Betty and son Gary by a decade. Karen Mixon (Bud), Jim (Jan), John (Carolyn), and Richard invite you to his service. Grandad remained keenly aware of all those around him, their issues, interests, and educational leanings. As a physician, he considered the whole child, including their educational successes, to be part of his responsibility.

Dr. Tucker attended and felt grateful to: Andover Academy, MA; Amherst College, MA; Cornell Medical School, N.Y.C. James had been a Board Member of both the Slingerland and the Dyslexia Societies; Overlake School, Redmond; Hamlin Robinson School, Seattle. He settled in his current home and established his practice at Northgate in 1950 after coming to his beloved PNW to be an early adjunct faculty in Pediatrics at the U.W. Family and friends facilitated Grandad enjoying the family LFP home of 62 years. We extend our collective thanks to the teams of medical experts, caretakers, and neighbors who helped make his last two years possible. Donations to Children's Hospital, Seattle, would send him well-earned thanks. Services will be September 10th, 10:30 A.M. at Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church, 17440 Brookside Blvd., L.F.P., WA.
