During summers off from college, Connie worked at Macao's Mexican Restaurant, in Las Vegas, NV to pay for college. Macao's was always her all-time favorite restaurant. After graduating college, Connie moved to Seattle and went to work for Bonnie Moffat, an interior designer, mentor, and friend. Bonnie sold her interior design business to Connie in 1984. Connie's greatest joy was to create enjoyable work and home spaces for her clients. In June 2006, Connie graduated with a Master of Science Degree from Central Washington University, Ellensburg. She also taught Interior Design at Central Washington University. In 2006, Connie received recognition for "Outstanding Support on the Home Front" from J. March 14, 2011, Connie was presented with an award from Central Washington University, College of Education and Professional Studies, as recognition of her outstanding teaching, as a member of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Charitable services was another area where Connie found fulfillment. She enjoyed her years of service for the Fred Hutchison Guild raising money for cancer research where she served as President in 1991.

She enjoyed golfing, biking, scuba diving, snorkeling, traveling, beading, spending time at the family cabin at Canyon Ferry Lake, MT, and in Maui, HI. Connie was baptized as an infant at Aldersgate Methodist Church in Butte, Montana and was re-baptized in April 2011 at Magnolia Avenue Baptist Church in Riverside, CA. During a special trip to California she made sure plenty of thought, prayer, and attention was given to the events of that day knowing that one day it would bring eternal life and that she would be resting in the loving arms of our father.
