Lyda Lea McConnell|
Lyda McConnell, mother of Ann Himel, Woodinville, passed away on Dec 9. Born in 1924, Lyda enjoyed 881/2 years of a life well-lived. She died at home surrounded by love.
Lyda is preceded in death by husband Hal McConnell, granddaughter Sarah Ann Rachel Himel, and brother, Dale Clausing (MN). She is survived by son Dale McConnell (CA), daughter Ann & husband, Phil, and grandchildren Petty Officer Third Class Michael Himel (Ft. Meade), Tyler Himel (CO), and Catherine Himel (Woodinville). Lyda is also survived by two sisters, Bonnie Sauer (IL) and Ellie Gilfoyle (CO), sister-in-law Gege Weer (CO), and 13 nieces and nephews and 20 great-nieces and great-nephews.
The Himel family will hold an invited open house in Lyda's honor, and her memorial service will be held in Colorado in 2013.
In lieu of flowers, donations to protect our National Parks are encouraged.
