David Joseph Wagner

David Joseph Wagner died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. He was born May 24, 1934 to Arnold Joseph Wagner and Doris Patricia (Hall) Wagner in Seattle, Washington. His early years were spent in Port Orchard, Des Moines and Highland Park. He graduated from West Seattle High School in 1953 and went to work for The Boeing Company shortly thereafter. David retired 43 years later in July of 1995. After retirement, he drove truck part-time for Zenith Holland Nurseries until the past two years.

David is survived by his wife, Miriam; children, Jill Hillman (Allan) of Orting, WA; Julie Long (Brian) of SeaTac, WA; Jolene Benson (Hollie) of Sierra Vista, AZ; John Wagner of Federal Way, WA; and Jay Wagner, two stepchildren, Kelly Cook of Nikiski, AK and Cheryl Cook of DesMoines, WA. He is also survived by grandchildren, Catherine Agnew, Douglas Hillman, Andrew Cook, Megan Cook, Garrett Hillman and Jolissa Benson; a sister, Patricia Werner (Bill) of SeaTac and a brother Darrell Waltenburg of Lake Bay, WA.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 8, 2013 at St. Columba Episcopal Church, 26715 Military Road South, Kent WA 98032. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Columba's Church, or the .
