Betty Lee Cottle House Jackson|
Betty Lee passed in peace on January 29, 2013. She was born to Glen and Mary Cottle in Chicago, Illinois on June 11, 1922. As a young child Betty Lee's family moved back to Washington living the first year in Suquamish then to Seattle where she attended school graduating from Roosevelt High School.
Betty Lee married Willard House in 1944 eventually moving to Bothell. Here she devoted her time to raising their four daughters and many years as a volunteer and leader in the Northshore PTA. Working in Preschool through High School PTA to better education for her daughters as well as families in the community and the state. She also found time to give as a Camp Fire volunteer and active church and choir member at University Christian Church in Seattle.
Betty Lee married Max Jackson and moved back to Seattle. After retiring from the University of Washington she continued volunteering at University Christian Church. She later moved to Ida Culver House Ravenna then to Aegis at Northgate.
She is survived by her daughters Mary Mailloux, Wilma Reeves, Sally Willis, Deborah House, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday February 10,2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the lounge of University Christian Church 4731 15 Ave NE, Seattle.
