Mary Agnes Day|
Mary Agnes Day, 93, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2013. Born April 10, 1919 in Milwaukee, Oregon, she moved to Seattle with her family in 1925, where she met the love of her life, James Woodrow Day. They married June 24, 1937 and remained happily so for 69 years before he passed on in 2006.
They lived in West Seattle, Kent, Whidbey Island, Issaquah and Green Valley, Arizona. Mary has resided the last three years at Rodica's Family Home in Renton.
Mary was an active member of her
communities and churches; teaching religion classes and leading Girl Scouts. In her elder years she was Also active in tap dancing, water aerobics and Western line dancing.
Mary is survived by seven children:
Marijean (Mike, deceased) Heutmaker, James (Pat) Day, Janice "Sunshine" (Jim) Sherwood, Laura Reynolds (Gary) Scripture, Patricia "Pacia" (Craig) Dixon, Michael (Corina) Day, and Erin (David) Palmer; twenty-one grandchildren (one deceased) and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Stephen-the-Martyr Catholic Church in Renton, Wash.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle.
