Mark Wasielewski Obituary

Mark Edward Wasielewski

Mark Edward Wasielewski, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many passed away unexpectedly on February 10th, 2013.

Mark, was a life long resident of West Seattle. He was born in Seattle on June 15th, 1961 to Ed and Joyce Wasielewski. He graduated from Chief Sealth High School and went on to Graduate from the University of Washington. Mark will be most remembered for his love of sports, sense of humor and devotion to his two sons. He was an athlete his entire life, whether it was football, golf, or playing racquetball at the local YMCA. He touched many lives with his quick wit and big personality. Everyone who came in contact with Mark always shared a laugh. His extensive group of friends spread vast and wide but his true love was the West Seattle community and his children.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2:00 pm at the Alki BathHouse, 2701 Alki Ave. SW

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mark's name to the West Seattle YMCA, 4515 36th Ave SW, 98126.

Mark's wit and spark will always be remembered by all who knew him. One time he walked up to me at the West Seattle Y where I was riding a stationary bike. He smiled and asked "Ya gettin anywhere on that thing?!" Mikey & Matt, we love you and we look forward to celebrating your Dad's life and sharing memories on Sunday. ?

Mike,(brother)
I am sure you can relate to my shock when I saw Mark's obit......I am so, so sorry my friend. I thought I saw in the original obit that services would be at Holy Family on Saturday, which I was planning on attending. But now I see that there is a memorial on Sunday. Unfortunately, I am flying to Palm Desert early Sunday morning and will not be able to attend the memorial. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, in particular, Mark's children. I still think of you both, as well as your dad, often. You were some of my favorite Y members! Again, my deepest condolences to you.
