Herman Trotsky was born on August 24th, 1940 in Seattle, Washington, to Jack and Louise Trotsky. He lived his entire 72 years of life in Seattle. Herman attended Garfield High School and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business. In his early teens, Herman began working with his father at Northwest Cooperage. In late May of 1970, he started dating Jackie and one month later, they were married. In 1975, they had their first child Adam and in 1982, their daughter Michaela was born. Herman continued as Vice President of Northwest Cooperage until 1995.
Those who were fortunate enough to have had Herman as a friend know of his generosity and loyalty. Herman had an engaging personality, quick wit and great sense of humor, and was always a gracious host.
Herman was a fair, compassionate and loving man who can never be replaced and will live in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Herman leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Jackie, 2 children, and sister, Bonnie, along with countless dear friends.
There will be a funeral service held on Tuesday, March 5th at Noon at the Hills of Eternity Cemetery, 520 West Raye Street, Seattle, WA 98119.
