Van Alan Dickieser

Family and friends will deeply miss Van, 81, who passed away on Friday April 5th after a long illness.

Van was born March 14, 1932 to Tommie and Neva Dickieser. He graduated from Tenino High School in 1949 and then honorably served in the United States Air Force. He was married to his loving wife, Shirley, for 45 years until she passed in 1999.

Van retired after 30+ years from

U S West Communications in 1996. He spent his retirement visiting family and friends but mostly enjoyed attending polo practices, games and other functions at the Tacoma Polo Club in Yelm, WA. He also enjoyed going with friends to various gun shows and had been a member of the Kenmore Gun Range. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.

Van is survived by his daughters, Tari McLean and Shari Tannahill; grandsons, Matthew and Shaun Tannahill.

A graveside service will be held at Acacia Memorial Park Cemetery on April 11, 2013 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the .
