Rose Marie Gamba Carnefix, 74, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in Stillwater, Okla., with her family by her side. She finally succumbed in her battle with ovarian cancer, after proving to be an inspiration to many when she survived cervical cancer, lung cancer, and colon cancer.
Her funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 22, at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Okla.
Rose Marie was born on Oct. 15, 1938 in Seattle to Anthony Samuel and Nettie Maxine (Niles) Gamba. On Aug. 20, 1960, she married the love of her life, Jack Henderson Carnefix, in Carson City, Nev.
Rose Marie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack, of Perkins, Okla.; son, Jack Henderson Carnefix II, and his wife, Rashel, who Rose Marie called her daughter, of Pueblo, Colo.; sister, Antonette Nelson (Russ Haag); and brothers, Anthony (Gloria) Gamba, and Timothy Gamba.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Rodney.
