Jesse Alonzo Brooks|
Jesse Alonzo Brooks, eldest son of Jesse and Alice Brooks, was born on December 4, 1931 in Miami, Florida and was united with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 16, 2013, after suffering a severe heart attack. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Thuy Brooks, his daughters and grandchildren. Jesse served his country and his family faithfully. He joined the Air Force at the age of 18 and was a Veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, where he earned several medals, including the Japanese Occupation Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity of Service Award, and Outstanding Unit Award, among others. He attained the Air Force Senior Master Sargent title and retired from the Air Force with honors in 1970. He continued in government service as a contract administrator until retirement in 1996. Jesse was a member of the Newport Covenant Church Congregation and served the Lord through his loyalty to his family and friends. He will be remembered for how he deeply cared for his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as, his passions for fishing, camping, cooking, gardening, and reading.
