Gregory Carroll Obituary
Gregory Robert Carroll, 35, a tenor on the verge of a major career died in Seattle, WA, on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Greg "GoDawgs" Carroll was a young and vibrant man best known for his zest for life and sharing precious moments with beloved family and friends. He was born in Des Moines, WA on July 9, 1977 to Dean Gregory Carroll and Deanna Jane Carroll. He is survived by his father, Dean Gregory Carroll; brothers, Kenneth (Victoria) Brown, Michael Brown and Mark Carroll; grandmothers, Doris Smith of Rochester and Adamae Smith of Lynnwood; Goddaughter, Isabella Stachurski of Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his mother, Deanna Jane Carroll and brother, David Glen Roulier. A funeral mass will be held for Gregory at 10:30a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. James Cathedral (804 Ninth Avenue, Seattle). A reception will follow in the cathedral hall. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask you honor Gregory by making an anonymous donation to your favorite artist charity, fund or trust.

Gregory enriched the lives of many in the San Francisco Area when he participated in the San Francisco Opera Merola Program. He had a beautiful and expressive voice.
Gregory Carroll also performed a recital with his beloved colleague Jane Eaglen for the Wagner Society of Northern California. We had an overflow crowd of 125 people at this very special event.
There are no words to convey the sense of loss that the music world is experiencing with Greg's passing.

I am so saddened to hear of Greg's passing. He had so much talent and so much to offer to so many. I have so many memories of him and my son Chris while they attended JFK The choir "upstairs " can't help but be improved with him there.
