Howard C. Gilbert, D.D.S.|
Howard passed away Wed. Aug. 28th at his home in North Bend at the age of 89. A Seattle native born May 18, 1924, he grew up on Magnolia and graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1942. He enrolled in the University of Washington before enlisting in the Navy Armed Guard. When WW II ended he returned to the U of W and graduated from the school of dentistry in 1952. He practiced in the Medical-Dental Building for 35 years. An avid outdoors man, Howard enjoyed hiking, mountain climbing, skiing, bird hunting, and many days and months of sailing.
He leaves behind his ever loving wife Marlene, his daughter Joan Gilbert (Jeri Drager), his son Howard L. Gilbert (Cecily) and their triplets Allison, Brad and Chris, his step-daughter Katie Chace (Tony), and his step-son Peter Dow (Peggy), as well as Marlene's four children Angie Ramp (Dave), Cristy Smith (Terry), Scott Hanna (Marie) and Stephanie Sacks (Michael) and her grandchildren Wendy, Danny, Melissa, Danielle, Jessica, Tony, Sophia and Caiden. At Howard's request there will be no service. Remembrances may be sent to Evergreen Hospice 12040 N.E.128th St. M.S. #5 Kirkland, Wa. 98043.
